Wellmark Series 685 Liquid Level Indicator Switches
continuously indicate the level of liquid in an atmospheric
(vented) tank in feet and inches. As an option, the tank can
be calibrated for horizontal tanks or for measurements in
pounds, gallons, barrels, percent, etc.

685 Series General
Brochure
This file provides a general overview of the level
controllers presented below; for more detailed information
or for more specific-use designs, please see the individual
level controllers' data sheets.
685-I
A liquid head pressure type level indicator, capable
of performing the most indication tasks.
685-S
Similar to the 685-I, but with a built-in electrical
switch (adjustable), which completes an electric circuit
when the level rises above a certain point and opens the
circuit when the level falls below that set point.
685-M
The M stands for Multiswitch; it continuously
indicates the liquid level and turns the pump on and off as
adjusted. Each switch may be set at different set points to
control a separate device, such as an auxiliary or motor
control relay, alarms, etc.
685-E
The Model 685-E is an electro-mechanical level
controller, which accomplishes three functions: Remote
Indication, Local Indication, and high-low adjustable
switching. The unit continuously indicates the liquid level
and transmits a proportional signal. (Housing is
weatherproof and explosion-proof).
685-ER
The 685-ER is an Electronic Remote Readout meant to be
installed in conjunction with 685-E models, providing a
remote panel for viewing liquid levels.
Options for 685 Switches
This PDF file details the available options for a
hydrostatic level control. Among the accessories is a
Snubber, which is designed to permit installation of a Level
control on the pump suction line without being affected by
surges from pump starts and stops, or when any condition
results in rapid fluctuation of static head pressure. Of the
head-type switches available in the field, ONLY the Major
Level Control is designed with this built-in dampening
feature. |
