Kengro is in the business of providing the Oil and
Industrial sectors with an environmentally-friendly solution
to spills and leaks. This is the leading edge of science in
the field of spill cleanup: bioremediation.
Bioremediation (n): The use of certain absorbent
materials to capture petrochemicals, while at the same time
encouraging the growth of microbes whose purpose is to
consume and transform those petrochemicals into harmless,
non-polluting compounds such as methane gas.
Kengro's flagship product, Biosorb, uses a powerful
wicking action to actually pull oil into the material.
The material has a strong grip, as it won't leech the
product once absorbed. As it turns out, the materials
comprising Biosorb are a natural haven for microbes that
love to eat oil, so the folks at Kengro don't have to add
any extra microbes to the product. There's no genetic
engineering going on here, nor any manipulation of what
nature has given us. They've just found the right mix of
plant matter to do the job, and put a lot of time and money
into getting it tested. The result is a proven solution,
with results far beyond those of peat moss or other "cheap"
cleanup methods.
We've demonstrated this wicking ability dozens of times, and
it always works out the same. When compared to other
products in the field, Kengro soaks up the oil faster and
stronger than anything else we've tried.
