ThredOn 304 Copperhead (Lead-Free)
Copperhead is formulated with micro-sized copper flakes and
additional additives which give the product extreme pressure
performance and greater lubricity. It contains compounds
that have tremendous loading ability under all temperature
ranges, from below 0˚F to over 1500˚F
(-180˚C to 8160˚C). The metallic compounds are blended into
a nonflammable lubricant that exceeds API working
parameters.
Copperhead is designed to prevent
downhole makeup, even excessive drilling torques are
required. This helps to prevent galling and ensures ease of
breakout. An excellent drill pipe and drill collar compound
provides a positive seal on rotary shoulder connections
under all drilling conditions while preventing galling -
Copperhead meets this standard of performance.
It is extremely reliable in
underground boring applications, while being environmentally
friendly.
As an anti-seize compound, it is used
on any of the following:
Fittings, flanges, tubing, couplings, gauges, studs,
nipples, nuts, pipe threads, unions, pipe reducers, screws,
and valves. Also, power screws, sleeves, toolways and
guides, packing in U-Joints, cams, dies and punches, taps
and drills, lathe centers, drive chains, rod end bearings,
gears, cables, and as a wire line dressing on all tool
joints.
As a high temperature lubricant, it can be
used on all threaded connections, flange connections, engine
connections, heat exchangers, autoclaves, manifolds, ovens,
boilers, cylinder heads, turbines, and burner heads. It is
NOT recommended for Stainless Steel fittings where the
temperature exceeds 500˚F
(2600˚C).
304 Copperhead is Service Rated to
10,000 PSI in confined threads, and Temperature Rated to
15,000˚F (8150˚C). It does contain special rust and
corrosion inhibitors, and remains in perfect dispersion in
either hot or cold weather. Its extreme pressure performance
makes it ideal for natural gas plants, refineries, and petro
or chemical plants.
ThredOn 305 Rotary Gold
ThredOn Rotary Gold is made with a Lithium
Hydroxystearate Grease to which over 19% anti-galling
components have been added. It also contains rust and
oxidation inhibitors and other lubricant stabilizers. Copper
flakes and amorphous grease are also present. Rotary Gold
is recommended for drill collars and high tensile strength
tool joints where low coefficient of friction is desired.
The product is not recommended for small tool joints which
are used for slim hole frilling as low coefficient or
friction could cause problems of over-tightening.
ThredOn 301 EZE-Break ThredOn
EZE Break 301 is a TFE-Based Drill Collar Compound is a
high-pressure, lithium-based grease that contains
Teflon-fluorocarbon resin, molybdenum disulfide, and special
corrosion inhibitors to maintain a positive seal under
pressure and ease of breakout without excessive torque.
Recommended for rotary shoulder connections in high torque
operations. It is easy to apply to hot, wet, or dry
surfaces. ThredOn 302 EZE-Break Drill
Pipe TFE Thread Sealant EZE-Break 302 is
recommended for rotary shoulder applications involving
extreme temperatures, high pressures, vibration, and worn or
damaged threads. Chemically resistant, EZE-Break 302 is
unaffected by most common fluids and gases (except oxygen)
including live steam. This compound adheres to wet joints by
displacing moisture, meaning long-lasting protection against
corrosion and metal-to-metal contact. Also recommended for
API Oilfield casing, tubing and line pipe, extreme
pressures, precision threads, and where vibration and
pressure surge. ThredOn 303 API Modified
High Pressure Compound ThredOn API Modified is
for casing, tubing and line pipe, and is manufactured in
accordance with specifications and recommendations of API
Bulletin 5A2 (1972). It rises above other API Modified
compounds as a result of a unique blend of base greases
which enhance application abilities to wet threads.
ThredOn 310 Z-40 This is a 40%
Zinc Base Tool Joint Compound, manufactured with a special
oxidation inhibitor to increase shelf life, anti-reactant
additives to keep the zinc from gassing, and special wetting
agents to assist in application to wet threads. It prevents
galling and makes for easy breakouts.
ThredOn 311 Z-50 This is the API Standard for
rotary shoulder connections. Containing 50% Zinc Base, it is
usable on drill pipe and drill collars. It contains both
oxidation and corrosion inhibitors as well as wetting agents
for wet-thread application, and helps prevent galling and
split boxes - ensuring easy breakouts.
ThredOn 312 Z-60 This Tool Joint Compound has
the same benefits and additives as the other Z line TJCs,
but uses a 60% Zinc base which makes it superior for broken
in and slightly worn tool joints.
ThredOn 316 Rotary Red ThredOn Red base TJC is
formulated to achieve maximum anti-galling performance with
minimum metal content. Its performance is enhanced by
careful selection of certain nonmetallic anti-galling
materials and special thread wetting agents. Although most
manufacturers recommend continued use of
high-metallic-content lubricants throughout the life of the
threads, it is well known that more economical materials are
satisfactory in many applications. Careful operators use Red
Base on well-broken-in tool joints at shallow to medium
depths. ThredOn 319 L2M Special
Thredon L2M Special TJC is made with polyurea grease. It is
corrosion and wash out resistant, and is an economical,
light-duty tool joint compound. It doesn't require any extra
protection for extreme pressures. L2M Special contains
anti-galling compounds, rust and oxidation inhibitors, and
other lubricant stabilizers. L2M Special is recommended
for low-to-medium-pressures and torque. It will not harden
or oxidize, and inhibits galling. It is brushable to medium
temperatures. The polyurea base contains pure metallic lead
for tool joint and drill collar applications.
ThredOn 821 Ultra-Pure Water Well Thread
Sealant ThredOn 821 is a specially formulated
thread sealant that is nontoxic and non-staining. Using
prime nontoxic materials for use in water well drilling
applications as well as for PVC and fiberflass water piping
systems, it will not harden or dry out and is unaffected by
vibration. Can be used as a thread compound on monitor
wells. It may also be used as a drilling compound on very
light duty applications (water wells) where contamination is
a concern. (This product is petroleum hydrocarbon free). |
