Upcoming Change: ASME & Spiral Wound Gaskets

The 2007 Edition of ASME B16.20 has just been released. One important change in this document is that "inner rings" are to be furnished with all flexible graphite spiral wound gaskets, "unless the purchaser specifies otherwise". These gaskets are more expensive than the 2-part gaskets we've stocked for years now, but with this change we will be transitioning to the 3-ring style (SRI). If you want 2-ring gaskets, you will need to specify this when placing your order. We will try to help you with this by asking at order time which gasket you wanted. After a transition period where our 2-ring gasket inventory is replaced, all 2-ring gaskets will be "special order, returnable only by manufacturer RGA."

In most cases, we can have orders on your doorstep within two days so long as you are in one of these areas. With the vast majority of our products, we are contractually bound to remain within this territory, though there are a few lines of product we can sell beyond it. In those cases, we will happily entertain requests for quote from other regions.

We cover this territory from our Olney, IL and Dover, OH warehouses; at these locations, we have a variety of materials in-stock from the manufacturers we represent. This allows us to offer you rapid delivery of the parts you need, rather than having to wait for the manufacturer to build and ship them.
